Spanning over 50 years, Kawasaki has been a constant benchmark and icon for classic, retro motorcycles.

OUR TIMELINE

1960s

The birth of Kawasaki Motorcycle Corporation. Initially an aircraft company, Kawasaki merged with Meguro Works and launched Kawasaki K2, then followed by W1.

1970s

Further development of W Series with the penultimate model W1SA and 1973's final version W3. W Series production ceased in 1974.

1980s

Market demand for 400cc motorcycles in Japan increased significantly, encouraging the release of Kawasaki Zephyr later that decade.

1990s

With the release of Zephyr in UK and Europe market, Kawasaki became the 2nd best selling motorcycles manufacturer in the UK market

2000s

Development of Zephyr successors, the Z series, with the ZRX1200 emerging worldwide. It continued to be in the US market until 2005 and Europe until 2007.

2010s

Today W brand carries on with the W800, W250 (previously known as Kawasaki Estrella), and the release of all-new W175.
